12 Oct May Team of the Month: Hickory Softball
Gilbert’s is honored to name the Hickory High School’s Softball team as our April Team of the Month. The Lady Hornets kicked off the month of May with a big win against Conneaut High School, ending the last inning with 7 runs. Hickory went 6-3 during the month of May. The team finished May with an even bigger win against Jamestown, capturing the District 10 Championship for the first time in school history.
The teams head coach, Will Zachrich, is in his first year with the team and couldn’t be happier with how his girls are doing, and looks forward to the future of the program.
The Lady Hornets finished off their incredible season with a 15-7 record. Hickory Softball team will begin their 2019 season on home turf, March 26, 2019, matching up against Villa Maria Academy.
