12 Oct September Team of the Month: Grove City Eagles Football
Gilbert’s is very proud to honor the Grove City Eagles Football team as our September Team of the Month! The Eagles currently have a 7-0 record overall, and their 3-0 record in Region 5 play lands them in first place.
Coached by Sam Mowrey, Eagles Football ended the month of September with a win at Hickory High School, which improved their record to 6-0 at that time. Their most recent game was against Sharon High School, and that win vaulted Grove City into first place in the region.
Since the beginning of the season, Grove City Football has scored 47 touchdowns. Running back Tyler Greer leads the team in touchdowns, scoring 15 since the beginning of the season. He scored 10 of those in September. Quarterback Brady Callahan completed 1,020 passing yards and threw 6 touchdown passes during September, including several to his favorite receiver Logan Lutz.
The Eagles will be taking on Conneaut Area High School at home for their next game on October 12th.
